Ree Drummond (born Ree Ann Duncan) is an American blogger, writer and TV personality, and blogger who blogs about food and photography. Most famous is the blog she runs called The Pioneer Woman. She lives on a ranch in Oklahoma. She writes about her experiences being a mother and wife on the ranch. In 2009, 2010, and 2011, the Pioneer Woman was awarded the Weblog of the Year award during the Annual Weblog Awards. The Pioneer Woman was born and raised in Bartlesville Oklahoma she studied journalism and gerontology in college. In 2006 she started her online blog pioneerwoman.typepad.com and later changed the name to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman and finally to The Pioneer Woman. Confessions remains one of several popular pages on her site. The blog has been widely recognized by major magazines, who praised her writing style and thought-provoking ideas, along with some amazing photos. In her blog, she also posts visually stunning recipes for food. She started her TV show The Pioneer Woman in 2011 that is currently in the evenings on The Food Network. She is also a writer and many of her cookbooks are full of recipes for cooking. Columbia Pictures recently announced their plans to adapt her book Black Heels and Tractor Wheels into a feature film.
