Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani Marley one of the most well-known and wealthy Reggae artists was born on February 26, 1976, in Falmouth Jamaica. In the film that became a cult classic, Shottas the actor starred alongside Wyclef. Ky-Mani was signed to Shang Records for his 1996 debut album Like Father Like Son album and songs like Judge Not (with Patra), Dear Dad", (which was the number one British reggae album chart) and"Who The Cap" (remix), Sensimelia and more all added to the growing recognition of his latest generation of reggae. Ky-Mani and Praswell from the Fugees formed a band in 1997 to create Avenue the cover version of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley was the first artist to perform at Midem which is an international music showcase which was held in Miami. Marley gave a concert in the Cameo Theatre which was live streamed across 36 countries. Marley's name was soon the focus of a bid war. He signed with Gee Street/V2 Record, and the two worked together in 1997. P.M. Dawn
